About
In the 1930s more than 20,000 Kazakhs left the Altai in search of freedom. They crossed the Taklamakan desert, the Tibetan plateau and the Himalayas, passing through seven countries on the way to Turkey. Of the 20,000 who set out, barely 1,800 survived.
KÖSH premiered on 4 September 2026, exactly four years after No37, with People’s Artists and Honoured Workers of Kazakhstan in the cast.
